Allcargo Logistics has strengthened its presence in the Ahmedabad industrial cluster as part of its strategy to support rising shipment volumes from key sectors including pharmaceuticals, engineering & machinery, and textiles.
The company said Ahmedabad remains one of India’s major manufacturing and trade hubs, contributing nearly 80% to Gujarat’s business ecosystem. Engineering & machinery accounts for 40-45% of Allcargo Logistics’ regional volumes, followed by pharmaceuticals at 30-35% and textiles at 10-15%.
Allcargo Logistics currently operates across its Domestic Supply Chain, Express Distribution, and Consultative Logistics businesses in the region, providing integrated and customised logistics solutions for enterprises and MSMEs. The company also manages multi-client facilities and in-plant logistics services for leading automotive and engineering brands in Gujarat.
Commenting on the development, Ketan Kulkarni, Managing Director & CEO, Allcargo Logistics, said Ahmedabad continues to be a high-potential manufacturing hub driven by MSME growth across multiple sectors.
He added that the company is focusing on strengthening its cluster-led strategy by building agile and integrated logistics solutions aimed at improving speed, reliability, and market access for businesses across India.
To support increasing demand, the company operates two Ground Distribution Warehouses (GDWs) in Ahmedabad, enabling first- and last-mile connectivity through standardised shipment handling and sector-based sorting processes. Shipments are consolidated at the company’s Ahmedabad Surface Transshipment Centre (STC) under a hub-and-spoke distribution model.
The Ahmedabad cluster maintains connectivity with key markets across North, South, East, West, and Central India. Allcargo Logistics said its integrated capabilities, including pickup and delivery services, cash-on-delivery (COD), warehousing, consultative logistics, and selective air cargo movement, are helping improve supply chain efficiency for MSMEs and manufacturing-led industries in the region.
As Ahmedabad continues to expand as a major manufacturing and industrial hub, the company said it remains focused on enhancing its logistics infrastructure and nationwide connectivity to meet evolving customer requirements.
