American Airlines Cargo has enabled freight bookings through the CargoWise platform, expanding its digital booking capabilities and improving connectivity for freight forwarders and logistics customers worldwide. The integration is aimed at streamlining cargo reservation processes and enhancing efficiency across air freight operations.

Through the new connection, CargoWise users can directly access American Airlines Cargo capacity, pricing and shipment booking services within the logistics management platform. Industry officials said the move will help reduce manual processes, improve booking speed and provide greater visibility across cargo supply chains.

The integration reflects the growing adoption of digital freight management tools in the air cargo sector as airlines and logistics providers seek faster, more automated and data-driven operations. Analysts noted that digital booking platforms are becoming increasingly important for managing capacity fluctuations, shipment tracking and customer communication in global freight markets.

American Airlines Cargo said the partnership is expected to improve the customer experience for freight forwarders by enabling more seamless transaction processing and operational coordination. The airline has been expanding its digital infrastructure to support rising demand for e-commerce, pharmaceutical and time-sensitive cargo shipments.

CargoWise, widely used by freight forwarders and logistics companies worldwide, provides integrated solutions covering transport management, customs compliance, warehouse operations and supply chain visibility. Industry experts said the platform’s growing connectivity with airlines is helping accelerate digital transformation across the global air cargo ecosystem.

The collaboration comes amid continued efforts by the air freight industry to modernise booking systems, improve operational efficiency and strengthen supply chain resilience in response to evolving global trade and logistics demands.
