Maharashtra Airport Development Company (MADC) has said operations at Amravati airport will commence shortly. Passenger terminal, ATC tower and other civil works are complete. On Tuesday MADC announced calibration of precision approach path indicator — a navigation aid that guides pilots during landing. Alliance Air will operate between Mumbai and Amravati with an ATR-72 aircraft under the regional connectivity scheme, MADC said.
