Shipping line ANL has announced a rate restoration programme for cargo moving from Asia to Australia, effective July 15, 2026.

The increase will apply to both dry and refrigerated (reefer) cargo and will be levied in addition to existing Spot and Freight All Kinds (FAK) rates, as well as all applicable surcharges in force at the time of shipment.

Under the revised tariff structure, freight rates will increase by:

    • USD 500 per 20-foot container (dry and reefer)
    • USD 1,000 per 40-foot container (dry and reefer)

ANL said the rate restoration is necessary to support the continued delivery of reliable and sustainable shipping services on the Asia–Australia trade route.

The adjustment reflects ongoing efforts by carriers to align freight pricing with operating costs and maintain service quality amid evolving market conditions. The new rates will take effect for all eligible shipments loaded on or after July 15, 2026.
