APM Terminals Pipavav today marked a significant milestone in transforming its commitments from the Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit 2024 into reality, with the signing of two major contracts for the construction of a new liquid jetty at Pipavav Port.

The agreements were inked with L&T GeoStructure and Van Oord India Private Limited, both renowned industry leaders in marine infrastructure, to deliver a cutting-edge liquid cargo handling facility that will substantially expand the port’s capabilities.

Speaking on the occasion, Girish Aggarwal, Managing Director, APM Terminals Pipavav, said, “This project is about transforming investment into impact. We are not just building a port facility; we are building a legacy of progress for Gujarat and for India.”

The ceremony was graced by Shri Rajkumar Beniwal, Vice Chairman & CEO of the Gujarat Maritime Board (GMB), whose presence underscored the importance of strong public-private partnerships in driving infrastructure growth and supporting Atmanirbhar Bharat.

The new liquid jetty is expected to act as a catalyst for national and regional growth, directly aligning with India’s Maritime India Vision 2030 and the PM Gati Shakti National Master Plan. Once completed, the facility will:

Strengthen National Infrastructure: Enhance port capacity, improve logistics efficiency, and support India’s long-term maritime vision.

Boost Economic Growth: Increase liquid cargo handling capacity, attract industrial investments, and further establish Gujarat as a premier maritime gateway.

Foster Regional Development: Generate employment opportunities, empower local communities, and stimulate growth along the Pipavav corridor.

The project reflects APM Terminals Pipavav’s commitment to advancing India’s maritime infrastructure while contributing to sustainable economic progress.
