    Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma met with Ashok Kumar Lahiri, Vice Chairman of NITI Aayog, along with senior officials, to review the state’s economic growth trajectory and discuss key development priorities.

    During the meeting, discussions centered on Assam’s progress across multiple sectors, emerging opportunities for economic expansion, and the state’s growing contribution to the development of the North-East region. The Chief Minister highlighted Assam’s achievements in infrastructure, industry, and social development while outlining challenges and bottlenecks that require policy support and strategic interventions.
