Avigna Group, a leading industrial and logistics infrastructure developer with a strong footprint across South India, has launched a state-of-the-art Industrial and Logistics Park at Angamaly near Kochi, marking its maiden venture in Kerala. Developed with an investment of ₹150 crore, the new facility spans 21.35 acres and offers a built-up area of 5 lakh sq ft.
The Chennai-based group, with over five decades of legacy across textiles, education, real estate, and logistics infrastructure, aims to strengthen Kerala’s logistics capabilities through world-class warehousing and industrial infrastructure. Avigna already operates similar parks in Tamil Nadu, Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh.
Inaugurating the new facility, State Industries Minister P. Rajeeve highlighted the government’s commitment to supporting local skills and employment. He noted that initiatives are underway to empower groups like Kudumbashree so local communities can benefit from emerging industrial opportunities. He also pointed out recent policy amendments enabling small enterprises to operate from residential spaces—up to 50% of a home’s area or fully, in the case of vacant houses—further boosting micro-enterprise growth around major industrial hubs.
Rajeeve added that logistics parks like the one developed by Avigna are a perfect fit for Kerala, as they foster economic expansion without contributing to pollution.
S. Rajasekharan, Managing Director of Avigna Group, said the Angamaly facility embodies the company’s mission to create future-ready logistics ecosystems that catalyse regional development. “The project has created over 1,500 direct and 250 indirect employment opportunities,” he said, underscoring the park’s role in driving local job creation and economic activity.
