Avis India plans to invest ₹550 crore in FY27, a 175 per cent increase from ₹200 crore in FY26, to expand its fleet and strengthen its corporate mobility business amid rising demand for leasing and chauffeur-driven rental services.

The company is targeting revenue of ₹700 crore in FY27, up from ₹535.5 crore in the previous fiscal, driven by strong growth in corporate leasing and increasing preference for organised fleet operators.

“Our capex this year will be close to ₹550 crore. We have grown the business at about 20 per cent year-on-year,” Aman Naagar, Managing Director, Avis India, said.

Avis India currently operates a fleet of around 12,000 vehicles, including nearly 9,000 under operating leases and 3,000 in its rental business, serving more than 500 corporate clients across the country.

The company’s leasing fleet has expanded by around 45 per cent, from 6,188 vehicles in January 2025 to nearly 9,000 vehicles, reflecting strong demand from businesses opting for long-term vehicle leasing.

Naagar said the company follows an owned-fleet model to maintain consistent service quality, while the expansion will be funded through internal accruals and bank borrowings.

Avis estimates India’s corporate mobility market at around $2 billion and expects it to grow to $10-12 billion by 2031, supported by increasing business travel, expansion of global capability centres and rising demand for organised mobility solutions.

The company said it will continue to offer electric vehicles based on customer requirements, although adoption in the premium chauffeur-driven segment remains gradual due to limited suitable vehicle options and uncertain resale values.

Avis also reported 40 per cent year-on-year growth in overseas self-drive bookings, but said it has no plans to re-enter the domestic self-drive market, citing low utilisation levels that make the business commercially unviable.
