Blue Dart Express Limited has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the National Capital Region Transport Corporation (NCRTC) to explore the movement of express parcels on the 82-km Delhi–Ghaziabad–Meerut Namo Bharat corridor.
Under the collaboration, the two organisations will assess the feasibility of integrating Blue Dart’s pickup and delivery network with Namo Bharat’s regional rail connectivity to facilitate faster and more efficient parcel movement across the National Capital Region.
The study will examine operational requirements, parcel volumes, station facilities, service standards and commercial arrangements. The corridor’s multimodal connectivity, including links at Sarai Kale Khan with Hazrat Nizamuddin railway station and the inter-state bus terminal, and at Anand Vihar with the railway station and two inter-state bus terminals, could support the movement of shipments between major transport hubs and surrounding businesses.
NCRTC Managing Director Shalabh Goel said the collaboration would explore how Namo Bharat infrastructure could contribute to the freight ecosystem while supporting more convenient and sustainable regional connectivity.
Pablo Ciano, CEO, DHL eCommerce Division, said the initiative could help strengthen Blue Dart’s network and create additional value for customers as businesses and supply chains evolve.
Balfour Manuel, Managing Director, Blue Dart Express, said the MoU would help assess how Namo Bharat’s semi-high-speed connectivity could be integrated with Blue Dart’s pickup and delivery capabilities and support the development of more sustainable logistics solutions.
The collaboration is part of Blue Dart’s ongoing efforts to strengthen its integrated transportation network and explore new logistics solutions to meet evolving customer requirements.
