    CGST Kutch Commissionerate is immensely happy to announce that ithas clocked 26.41 % Year on Year revenue growth Vis a Vis All India revenue growth rate of 11.41%, clearly 15% ahead of All India Revenue growth rate, till July 2023.

    In the current financial year up to July, 2023, this Commissionerate collected Rs. 1035.71 Crores, compared to revenue collection of Rs. 819.34 Crores till July, 2022, resulting in an increase of Rs. 216.37 Crores at a growth rate of 26.41%. In the last two financial years, it took 5 months, after the commencement of the financial year, to cross Rs.1000/- Crore mark, whereas in the current financial year, this Commissionerate hit the milestone of Rs.1,000/- Crore, within just four months.

    In the month of July, 2023, total No. of 5402 taxpayers, who are liable to pay tax, have filed returns, which is highest in the history of this Commissionerate, out of which around 76 % of them filed returns by due date i.e. 20.08.2023 and 91.3% of them filed returns by 23.08.2023 i.e. within three days after the due date, which clearly shows that not only tax compliance of taxpayers increased, but also compliance in and around the due date has also increased, remarkably.

Anand Kumar, Commissioner, CGST Kutch Commisionerate, said, “This extraordinary revenue growth has been achieved by this Commissionerate, despite Kutch was hit by massive cyclone in mid June 2023, thanks to the inherent strength and courage of the trade and industry to face and overcome any eventuality, including such massive cyclonic storms.”
