The CGST Kutch Commissionerate announced that it has collected GST revenue of ₹1,315 crores in the first four months of the current financial year, marking an impressive growth of ₹279 crores. This reflects a robust growth rate of approximately 27% compared to the corresponding period of the previous financial year.
It is noteworthy that the monthly average revenue of the Commissionerate has consistently grown over the years. It increased from ₹160.32 crores in FY 2020-21 to ₹191.32 crores in FY 2021-22, ₹224.59 crores in FY 2022-23, and further rose to approximately ₹256.84 crores in FY 2023-24. For FY 2024-25, the monthly average revenue now stands at ₹329 crores.
The return filing compliance among the top 2,000 taxpayers—who contribute over 90% of the Commissionerate’s revenue—stood at 92% for July 2024. Additionally, 95% to 98% of the Commissionerate’s revenue has been realized within two days of the due date for return filing each month in the current financial year 2024-25. This demonstrates not only a significant increase in tax compliance but also the promptness with which taxes are being paid in Kutch.
