Air cargo software company CHAMP Cargosystems has launched a new service that allows forwarders and shippers to directly connect with more than 25 airlines.

The Traxon Multi-Carrier API will allow forwarder and shipper users to compare availability and pricing and make bookings across multiple airlines.

“The new service reaches over 25 of the world’s leading airlines who run a variety of core cargo systems,” CHAMP explained. “It allows software providers and technically advanced forwarders to seamlessly integrate shopping and booking capabilities into their in-house systems, while removing the complexities of managing multiple airline connections.”

The service is offered through an administration portal that allows users to select partner carriers, manage commodities and handle air waybill stock.

The company claimed that the system provides the best available rates and will create time savings compared with having to approach airlines individually.

Ed Dorr, vice president eCargo portfolio, explained: “By harnessing cutting-edge API technology, we’ve created a solution that simplifies the complexities of air cargo booking and unlocks new possibilities for our customers. Traxon Multi-Carrier API provides a single point of access to over 25 airlines, streamlining booking processes and powering growth.”

The new API service is the second development announced by CHAMP in recent months.

In September, the service provider announced a new solution that allows forwarders, airlines and ground handlers to engage with IATA’s ONE Record data sharing standard.

The 1Neo-Connect service allows air cargo companies to connect with ONE Record data exchanges through CHAMPS’ systems and API connections.
