Chennai Port has commenced HAIAN Lines’ new monthly CVI container service, establishing a regular shipping link between Chennai, Port Klang West, Haiphong and Nansha and providing an additional connectivity option for South India’s trade with Southeast Asia and South China.

The service was inaugurated with the maiden call of M.V. HAIAN BETA, marked by a ceremonial flag exchange and cake-cutting ceremony, followed by a stakeholder interaction at the DP World Conference Hall.

Chennai Port Chairperson Shri Sachin S. Kurve, IAS, appreciated HAIAN Lines, Samsara Shipping and DP World Chennai for introducing the service. He highlighted its potential to create new opportunities for exporters and importers while further strengthening Chennai Port’s role as a gateway for international trade.
