    In response to evolving regional developments, CMA CGM has adjusted its Empty Equipment Imbalance Surcharge (EEIS) from Turkey to Spain.

    Effective from 15 March 2024 (loading date) until further notice, the EEIS will be applicable within the IntraMed region, with origin from Turkey (excluding Mersin & Iskenderun) and destined for Spain Med.

    Also, this surcharge will apply to dry (including special equipment), IMO, and reefer cargo. The revised amounts for this EEIS will be US$246 per 20′ container and US$273 per 40′ container.

    Furthermore, CMA CGM’s revised surcharge applicable for cargo originating from the ports of Mersin and Iskenderun destined for Spain Med will beĀ US$164 per 20′ container and US$219 per 40′ container.
