CMA CGM has upgraded its PEARL (PRX) service to provide a direct link between the Indian subcontinent and the US West Coast, improving transit times and schedule reliability for shippers.

The enhanced service now includes direct calls at key ports in entity[“country”,”India”], Pakistan, and Sri Lanka before heading to Los Angeles, eliminating the need for transshipment and streamlining cargo movement. CMA CGM said the upgrade is designed to accommodate rising demand for trade between South Asia and North America, particularly for consumer goods, electronics, and textiles.

Industry observers note that the direct routing is expected to reduce transit times by several days, strengthen trade connectivity, and offer shippers more predictable schedules. CMA CGM advised customers to coordinate with local offices to plan shipments under the new PEARL service rotation.
