The 24,212-TEU CMA CGM NOTRE DAME, the world’s largest LNG-powered containership, has made its maiden call at Singapore during its first voyage on the Asia–Europe trade route, marking a significant milestone for French shipping major CMA CGM.

The vessel is the first of ten 24,212-TEU LNG-powered mega ships to sail under the French flag. Designed to support the decarbonisation of maritime transport, the ship combines LNG propulsion with advanced technologies, including AI-assisted systems, digital navigation tools and energy-efficiency solutions aimed at enhancing operational performance.

A notable sight at Singapore was the simultaneous presence of CMA CGM NOTRE DAME alongside CMA CGM PRIDE and CMA CGM SAINT ANNE, bringing three of the carrier’s flagship vessels together at one of the world’s busiest container ports.

Operating on the Asia–Europe service, the 400-metre-long vessel is expected to strengthen CMA CGM’s capacity on one of the busiest trade lanes while advancing the company’s strategy for lower-emission shipping and fleet modernisation.
