CMA CGM has further strengthened its global fleet with the official induction of CMA CGM VENDOME, a new-generation 23,000 TEU dual-fuel LNG container vessel, underscoring the Group’s commitment to sustainable and efficient maritime transport.

The vessel was formally named in a ceremony held under the command of Captain Anton Tache, with Ms. Feng Ping, Vice President of CHERY International, serving as the Godmother. The event marked another milestone in CMA CGM’s ongoing investment in environmentally responsible shipping solutions.

Flying the flag of Singapore, CMA CGM VENDOME will be deployed on the Group’s FAL3 service, one of the world’s premier Asia–Europe trade corridors, playing a key role in supporting high-volume, long-haul containerized trade between the two regions.

As a dual-fuel LNG-powered vessel, CMA CGM VENDOME is designed to significantly reduce greenhouse gas emissions and local pollutants, aligning with CMA CGM’s broader decarbonization roadmap and its ambition to achieve net-zero carbon emissions by 2050.

The naming ceremony also highlighted the strong and enduring partnerships between CMA CGM and leading global industrial players, reinforcing a shared vision for advancing decarbonized shipping and building a more sustainable global trade ecosystem.
