The Cochin Chamber of Commerce & Industry proudly marked eight years of partnership as Co-Organiser of the 9th International Spice Conference (ISC 2026), one of the most influential gatherings of the global spice fraternity, held from February 23–26, 2026 at Le Meridien Kochi.

Organised in collaboration with the All India Spices Exporters Forum (AISEF), the conference was themed “Spice 360 – Getting Future Ready” and brought together over 1,000 delegates from 30 countries. Over four days, industry leaders, exporters, policymakers, researchers, and global buyers engaged in meaningful dialogue on innovation, sustainability, climate resilience, value addition, and evolving market dynamics shaping the future of the global spice trade.

The inaugural session was graced by Amitabh Kant, former G20 Sherpa and former CEO of NITI Aayog, who served as the Chief Guest and formally inaugurated the conference. Martin Sonntag, CEO of Oterra, attended as Guest of Honour, lending global industry perspective to the proceedings.

Addressing the distinguished gathering, Chamber President Ms. Vinodini Sukumar reaffirmed the organisation’s enduring commitment to strengthening India’s spice trade ecosystem. She highlighted Kerala’s centuries-old spice legacy and underscored the Chamber’s pivotal role in connecting this rich heritage with emerging global opportunities through policy advocacy, trade facilitation, and industry collaboration.

Since the inaugural edition of the International Spice Conference, the Cochin Chamber has stood alongside AISEF as a steadfast partner. The successful hosting of the 9th edition stands as a proud testament to eight years of shared vision, sustained collaboration, and a collective commitment to elevating India’s stature in the global spice trade.

ISC 2026 once again reinforced Kochi’s position as a vital hub in the international spice value chain, charting a forward-looking roadmap for a resilient, innovative, and future-ready industry.
