The Container Corporation of India Limited (CONCOR) has commenced export operations from its Inland Container Depot (ICD) at Kadakola, Mysore, marking a significant step in strengthening the region’s connectivity with international markets.
The first containerised export cargo was dispatched from ICD Kadakola on 14 August 2026, bound for Birgunj, Nepal. The movement provides exporters in the Mysore region with a direct and efficient rail-linked gateway to Nepal, supporting smoother cross-border trade.
The development further reinforces CONCOR’s commitment to facilitating India’s EXIM trade through integrated rail and logistics networks. By extending containerised rail connectivity beyond India’s borders, CONCOR is helping connect businesses with neighbouring landlocked markets such as Nepal.
The new service is expected to enhance supply-chain efficiency, provide a reliable alternative for cargo movement and strengthen the role of rail logistics in supporting India’s growing regional trade.
The commencement of export operations from ICD Kadakola represents another milestone in CONCOR’s efforts to build seamless, sustainable and borderless logistics connectivity for Indian exporters.
