In a significant step toward sustainable freight transportation, Container Corporation of India Ltd. (CONCOR) inaugurated the movement of its first LNG-powered container trailer on April 25, 2026, from ICD Kanpur.

The initiative begins with the deployment of five 40-foot LNG trailers, marking a decisive move to decarbonise logistics operations. By adopting liquefied natural gas (LNG) as an alternative fuel, CONCOR aims to reduce emissions while improving cost efficiency, aligning closely with India’s broader clean energy goals.

The inaugural journey to Pratapgarh highlights the company’s forward-looking strategy to reshape the logistics landscape through sustainable practices. The flag-off ceremony, led by women officials, also underscored CONCOR’s commitment to inclusivity and progressive leadership.

With this milestone, CONCOR reinforces its position as a pioneer in environmentally responsible logistics, continuing to drive innovation that supports both economic growth and a greener future for India’s transport sector.
