COSCO Shipping and Diamond Line are strengthening their MWAX service by deploying two additional vessels, increasing capacity and enhancing the service’s operational flexibility.

The additional ships will provide greater container capacity on the MWAX network and are expected to support growing cargo demand across the markets served by the service. The move will also give the carriers more flexibility in managing vessel schedules and cargo flows.

The MWAX service connects key ports across its trading region, providing shippers with regular container links for import and export cargo. Additional vessel capacity can help improve space availability during periods of strong demand.

The expansion comes as container carriers continue to adjust vessel deployment in response to changing trade patterns and customer requirements. Increasing capacity on established services can also help carriers improve schedule resilience and maintain competitive transit options.

COSCO and Diamond Line’s latest deployment underscores their focus on strengthening the MWAX network while providing customers with additional capacity and more reliable shipping connections.
