Cosco shipping has officially established its self-operated fulfilment warehouse in the US.

The new building, which is 177,141 square feet, is located in the Greater Los Angeles region, approximately 60 minutes from the Port of Los Angeles and the Los Angeles International Airport.

The warehouse can offer unloading and stocking within 48 hours, with 95 per cent of orders delivered within 24 hours and 98 per cent within 48 hours.

The warehouse provides a broad range of services, using COSCO SHIPPING’s worldwide transportation network, including dropshipping, transit for medium and large-sized items, end-to-end truck dispatching, and comprehensive in-warehouse operations.

The introduction of current OMS/WMS systems improves the EDI process, which is backed by comprehensive IT operation and maintenance to provide steady operations and complete visual administration.

COSCO SHIPPING noted that its customers may now access real-time cargo dynamics and effectively handle a variety of operational difficulties.

The new facility will reportedly focus on the demands of medium and large-goods sellers, providing both standardised and customised logistics solutions for a variety of products such as home appliances and furniture.

In March, COSCO SHIPPING announced that its 20,000 TEU containerships will begin regular calls at the port of La Spezia.
