On 24 April 2025, DBGT welcomed the maiden call of M. V. HE YUAN SHUN 89, operated by M/s X Press Feeders, marking the launch of a dedicated Tuticorin-Colombo Shuttle service. This new service, with two sailings per week, enhances not only connectivity to Colombo (6 sailings), but also improves weekly slot availability by 20% for DBGT users.

Mr. R Maneksha Fernando, Chief Operating Officer and team DBGT warmly hosted an onboard function with cake cutting ceremony and presented the terminal’s memento to celebrate the start of a new and long-standing relationship. Special guests Mr. Sagayaraj Fernando, Branch Manager, M/s X Press Feeders and Mr. Ganesh Kumar, Operations Manager, M/s MSC, Tuticorin, were also honored during the ceremony.

This development underscores DBGT’s strategic role in facilitating the growth in EXIM cargo movement and connecting Indian traders with key transshipment hubs, ensuring smoother and faster cargo movement globally.
