DBGT, the leading container terminal operator in VOC Port, Tuticorin shatters records by handling 653,852 TEUs – a New Benchmark for Excellence – achieving a Year-on-Year growth of 14%.

Since its inception in May 2014, DBGT has handled a total of 4.3 million TEUs, demonstrating its rapid expansion and dedication to providing top-notch services.

The operations team reached new heights in 2024, handling the second-largest vessel at DBGT to date, with the highest parcel size volume for the year.

The team efficiently managed 407 vessels this year which notably has exceeded the milestone of handling over 3,200 vessels since inception. This includes ad-hoc vessels with direct destinations to European ports, vessels originating from African countries, and coastal vessels.

As a proud supporter of the Atmanirbhar Bharat campaign, DBGT plays a vital role in connecting VOC Port to global markets. With an impressive 84% market share of container traffic at VOC Port, Tuticorin, DBGT continues to showcase its commitment to excellence.
Despite facing challenges, including extreme weather conditions and nationwide strikes, DBGT’s operations remained seamless. This remarkable milestone is a testament to the collective efforts of Team DBGT and the valued support and cooperation of VOC Port, the Shipping Fraternity, and the EXIM trade in the hinterland.
