Delhivery is undertaking a major reshuffle of its senior leadership, with Chief Operating Officer and founding member *Ajith Pai Mangalore* set to leave the logistics company and Chief Business Officer *Vani Venkatesh* elevated to Deputy Chief Executive Officer.
Pai will step down at the close of business on *September 15, 2026*, to pursue opportunities independently, Delhivery said in a regulatory filing on August 8. A founding member of the company, Pai has held several key positions, including Chief Financial Officer, before taking over as COO.
Delhivery CEO and Managing Director *Sahil Barua* credited Pai with making “invaluable contributions” to the company since its inception and wished him well in his future endeavours.
Venkatesh, who joined Delhivery in February 2025 as Chief Business Officer and Key Managerial Personnel, has been elevated to Deputy CEO with immediate effect. In her expanded role, she will continue to oversee the company’s revenue functions while additionally taking charge of *marketing and customer experience*. She will also work closely with the company’s operations teams.
“Vani’s elevation reflects her increasing responsibilities and impact at Delhivery and is a part of our commitment to training executive leadership within the company to perform multiple new roles,” Barua said.
### Leadership churn continues
The latest appointments come amid a series of senior management and board-level changes at Delhivery over the past year.
In November 2025, CFO *Amit Agarwal* stepped down and was succeeded by *Vivek Pabari, while independent director **Aruna Sundararajan* resigned from the board citing other commitments.
In April 2026, Chairman *Deepak Kapoor* and independent director *Saugata Gupta* stepped down as part of a board refresh.
The company subsequently strengthened its executive structure in May by elevating six senior leaders to C-suite positions. *Varun Bakshi* was appointed Chief Sales Officer, *Vikas Kapoor* Chief Strategy Officer, *Arun Bagavathi* COO – Network Operations, *Prashant Gazipur* COO – In-city Operations, *Nikhil Ummat* COO – Engineering and Automation, and *Sunny Raja* Chief Procurement Officer. The appointments took effect on May 16.
### Venkatesh takes on wider commercial mandate
Venkatesh brings more than two decades of experience across companies including Airtel, McKinsey, Unilever and Abbott Nutrition. During her career at Airtel, she held senior leadership positions including CEO of its global business, CEO of the Delhi-NCR region, Chief Marketing Officer and CEO of its retail business.
Her elevation comes around 18 months after joining Delhivery and expands her mandate across revenue, marketing and customer experience, while bringing her closer to the company’s operations.
### Leadership changes amid mixed Q1 performance
The leadership rejig comes as Delhivery navigates mixed financial performance. The Gurugram-based logistics company reported a *65% year-on-year decline in net profit to ₹31.9 crore in Q1 FY27*, compared with ₹91 crore in the same quarter last year. Net profit was ₹72.3 crore in the preceding quarter.
However, revenue from operations increased *28% year-on-year to ₹2,930.7 crore*, compared with ₹2,294 crore in Q1 FY26. Revenue also rose from ₹2,850 crore in Q4 FY26.
The latest leadership changes mark another significant step in Delhivery’s ongoing executive restructuring as the company seeks to strengthen its commercial functions and integrate them more closely with its operations.
