Greek dry bulk owner Diana Shipping has continued its steady run of period chartering activity, lining up forward employment for one of its kamsarmax bulk carriers.

The US-listed company said it has agreed a time charter with Paralos Shipping for the 2010-built Myrsini at a rate of $13,500 per day, less a 5% commission. The charter is set to commence on January 1, 2026, and will run until December 20, 2026, with extension options available through February 20, 2027.

The 82,117 dwt vessel is currently trading under a charter to Cargill at $13,000 per day, minus a 4.75% commission.

Diana Shipping said it expects the new charter to generate approximately $4.71 million in gross revenue over the minimum contractual period.

The latest fixture adds to a series of recent chartering moves by the Athens-based owner, which controls a fleet of 36 dry bulk vessels across the capesize, post-panamax, kamsarmax and ultramax segments. Earlier this month, the company secured multi-year employment for two ultramax vessels at slightly improved rates compared with their previous charters, and also fixed one of its capesize bulkers, underlining its focus on enhancing earnings visibility amid volatile dry bulk markets.
