In the august presence of Shri Bhupendra Patel, Hon’ble Chief Minister of Gujarat, Deendayal Port Authority (DPA), Kandla has taken a major stride towards urban transformation by formalizing a partnership with the Gandhidham Municipal Corporation. The collaboration focuses on a series of public-utility and beautification initiatives aimed at enhancing the overall infrastructure and living environment of the Gandhidham–Adipur Twin Port City.

An exchange of agreement was carried out during the event, reaffirming DPA Kandla’s commitment to supporting sustainable, inclusive, and future-ready urban development.

Key Initiatives Under the Collaboration Include:

    * Heritage Road Redevelopment: Comprehensive beautification and infrastructure upgradation of the stretch from Sardar Patel Statue to Gandhi Market, enhancing the aesthetic and functional appeal of the area.
    * Landmark Junction Development: Transformation of Lilashah Circle into the DPA Green Hydrogen Park, marking a symbolic milestone as India’s first Green Hydrogen City.
    * Adoption of Major Circles: Upgradation and redesign of Jhanda Chowk and Adipur Circle to improve traffic flow and enhance the city’s visual identity.
    * City Sanitation Drive: A 24-month manual and mechanized cleaning initiative under the Swachh Gandhidham mission, focused on strengthening sanitation efforts across the East Zone.

These initiatives reflect a unified effort to build a cleaner, greener and more vibrant Gandhidham–Adipur. The partnership between DPA Kandla and the Municipal Corporation reinforces the shared vision of developing the Twin Port City into a model of sustainable urban growth and civic excellence.
