The Federation of Indian Export Organisations (FIEO), in collaboration with Jebel Ali Free Zone Authority (JAFZA), hosted an informative session on “Bharat Mart Dubai – India’s Gateway to the World,” attracting over 100 Indian exporters.

JAFZA, part of DP World, is a leading trade and logistics hub in the Middle East, serving more than 10,000 companies from 130 countries. Known for its strategic location and robust infrastructure, the Free Zone facilitates global trade through DP World’s extensive network of ports, economic zones, logistics services, and digital trade solutions.

The highlight of the session was the introduction of Bharat Mart, DP World’s newly launched wholesale and retail marketplace aimed at promoting Indian manufactured goods across Africa, the Middle East, and Eurasia. The initiative is designed to bridge the gap between India’s growing manufacturing sector and untapped international markets.

The session focused on familiarizing Indian businesses with JAFZA’s unique value proposition, particularly in light of the India-UAE CEPA agreement, and explored how the Free Zone can act as a catalyst for companies seeking global market access, strengthening international value chains.

Key speakers included Mr. Amitesh Mishra, Director of Business Development, DP World GCC; Mr. Amer Ahli, Senior Manager, Business Development, DP World GCC; Mr. Sajan B. Nair, Secretary General, Federation of Indian Coir Exporters Association; and Mr. Rajeev M.C, Assistant Director & Head, FIEO Kerala. They engaged with participants, providing insights into leveraging JAFZA and Bharat Mart for global trade expansion.

The session underlined the importance of strategic partnerships and global trade platforms for Indian exporters aiming to scale their international presence.
