    The Federation of Indian Export Organisations (FIEO), in association with the Office of the Additional Director General of Foreign Trade (DGFT), organised an awareness programme on “Empowering Exporters on India-UK Trade Agreement, Policies, Procedures & Schemes for Global Competitiveness” in Madurai on May 21, 2026.

    The session aimed to educate entrepreneurs and exporters from Madurai and nearby regions on emerging opportunities under the India-UK trade framework, export policies and procedures, customs and GST-related compliance, ECGC support mechanisms, and strategies for expanding into international markets.

    The programme featured expert insights from Ms. Selvanayagi, Joint Director, FIEO (Southern Region); Mr. Sivakumar from the Office of Addl DGFT, Coimbatore; Ms. Linarani, Superintendent of Customs, Madurai; Mr. Ankit Yadav, Superintendent of GST, Madurai; and Mr. Subhash Kumar Jha, Branch Manager, ECGC Limited, Madurai.

    More than 100 entrepreneurs, exporters, and industry stakeholders participated in the session, highlighting the increasing interest among MSMEs and exporters in leveraging international trade opportunities and strengthening global competitiveness.
