    The Federation of Indian Export Organisations (FIEO), in association with SOHAR Port and Freezone, Oman, organised an interactive session on manufacturing, investment and export opportunities in Oman at the Embassy of the Sultanate of Oman in New Delhi on September 16, 2026.

    The session brought together industry representatives and key stakeholders to explore opportunities for strengthening India–Oman trade, investment and business cooperation.

    His Excellency Mr Issa Saleh Al Shibani, Ambassador of Oman to India, highlighted the expanding scope for business, investment and greater engagement with Oman’s business ecosystem.

    Mr Arvind Goenka, Regional Chairman (Northern Region), FIEO, underscored the growing economic partnership between India and Oman. He also highlighted the strategic importance of SOHAR Port and Freezone in facilitating trade and supporting Indian companies in their international expansion.

    Dr Ajay Sahai, Director General and CEO, FIEO, highlighted the potential for strengthening India–Oman trade and investment, particularly in the context of the India–Oman Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA). He encouraged Indian exporters to leverage SOHAR Port and Freezone as a gateway to Gulf and global markets.

    Dr Raid Al Rubaiey, CEO, SOHAR Port and Freezone, showcased investment and business opportunities available through SOHAR’s integrated port, freezone and industrial ecosystem . He highlighted the facility’s strategic location and infrastructure as key advantages for companies seeking to expand their international operations.

    The interactive session provided a platform for discussions on manufacturing, investment and export opportunities in Oman, while reinforcing the role of SOHAR Port and Freezone in supporting trade connectivity between India, Oman and international markets.

    The event reflects continued efforts by FIEO and SOHAR Port and Freezone to promote business engagement and explore opportunities for Indian exporters in Oman.
