Flipkart has appointed Vinay Vaidya as the Head of Supply Chain Technology, reinforcing its commitment to advancing technology-driven logistics and strengthening its end-to-end supply chain capabilities.

In his new role, Vaidya will lead the development and implementation of technology solutions across Flipkart’s supply chain network, with a focus on improving operational efficiency, enhancing automation and supporting the company’s rapidly expanding e-commerce operations. He is expected to oversee initiatives involving warehouse technology, transportation systems, inventory management and data-driven decision-making.

The appointment comes as Flipkart continues to invest in digital innovation to optimize fulfilment operations, reduce delivery timelines and improve customer experience. The company has been expanding its logistics infrastructure and adopting advanced technologies such as artificial intelligence, machine learning and predictive analytics to build a more agile and resilient supply chain.

Industry observers believe Vaidya’s leadership will play a key role in accelerating Flipkart’s technology transformation as the company prepares for future growth in India’s highly competitive e-commerce market. The move also reflects the increasing importance of technology leadership in enabling scalable, efficient and sustainable supply chain operations.
