UK port operator Forth Ports has opened a new 65,000-tonne agri-bulk hub at the Port of Tilbury, strengthening the port’s capacity to handle agricultural commodities.
The new facility is designed to support the movement and storage of bulk agricultural products, providing additional infrastructure for customers involved in the UK’s food and agricultural supply chains.
The investment further expands Tilbury’s role as a key logistics gateway for agricultural cargo. Its location on the River Thames provides access to major UK markets and established road and rail connections, supporting the onward movement of cargo from the port.
