Adani Gangavaram Port has set a new milestone in its operational history after recording the highest monthly container throughput to date. In February 2026, the port handled 12,637 Twenty-foot Equivalent Units (TEUs) — surpassing its previous best of 11,545 TEUs set in October 2025.

Port officials said the performance underscores Gangavaram’s growing importance as a key logistics hub on India’s east coast, driven by its deep-draft berths, mechanised cargo handling systems, and efficient multimodal connectivity that helped boost vessel turnaround times and overall productivity.

“This achievement reflects the trust our customers and shipping line partners place in us and demonstrates our commitment to operational excellence and reliable logistics solutions,” port management said in a statement.

Industry observers note that this record comes amid broader gains in container traffic across India’s ports, with container volumes rising strongly and contributing significantly to overall throughput growth.
