Glasgow Prestwick Airport has strengthened its export links with China following a two-day visit by a senior delegation from China Southern Air Logistics. The visit aimed to deepen collaboration and support Scotland’s growing export sector.

During their time at Prestwick, the airline delegation met with Scotland’s shippers and gained direct insight into the country’s high-value export industries, including whisky and seafood. The engagement helped China Southern Air Logistics better understand the needs of local producers and freight forwarders.

Ian Forgie, Chief Executive Officer of Glasgow Prestwick Airport, said, “We were pleased to welcome the delegation from China Southern Air Logistics to Prestwick. The visit provided an excellent opportunity to explore how we can work together for mutual benefit and continue to strengthen Scotland’s global export connections.”

The airport hosted meetings and site tours that showcased its cargo handling expertise, strong connectivity, and in-house services covering all aspects of cargo management, from handling to fuelling.

The visit follows a similar engagement with Air China Cargo earlier this month, underscoring Prestwick’s commitment to building long-term partnerships that drive growth in Scotland’s air cargo industry.
