Gateway Terminals India (GTI), India’s busiest and most efficient container terminal, has achieved a major milestone by crossing 2 million TEUs for calendar year 2025 in the early hours of 27 November — the earliest it has ever reached this mark.

While GTI has surpassed the 2-million-TEU threshold several times in previous years, the terminal has never done so this early in the year, underscoring sustained growth in volumes, operational excellence, and rising customer confidence.

With 712 metres of quay length, the terminal is now on track to close 2025 with 2.2 million TEUs, translating to an exceptional productivity indicator of 3,100 TEUs per quay metre — far above the global average of 1,217 TEUs.

GTI continues to lead India’s container logistics ecosystem by “doing more with the same,” driven by process innovations, efficient yard planning, and a highly skilled workforce.

The terminal extended its gratitude to customers, partners, and the Jawaharlal Nehru Port Authority (JNPA) for their constant support, guidance, and collaborative spirit.

With this momentum, GTI is not just delivering today’s potential but building capacity for tomorrow’s ambition.
