Gulftainer has launched its second bonded dry port at Sajaa, Sharjah, marking a significant expansion of its logistics infrastructure in the UAE and reinforcing its role in supporting regional trade and supply chain resilience.

Strategically located between Sharjah and Khorfakkan Port—approximately 90 km apart—the Sajaa Bonded Dry Port is designed to enhance cargo movement efficiency through improved multimodal connectivity and reduced turnaround times. The facility is positioned to serve customers across the Northern Emirates, manufacturing zones and key distribution hubs.

Spread across 70 hectares, the new dry port includes 50,000 sq. m. of fully interlocked yard space, 5,000 sq. m. of warehousing, and 30,000 sq. m. dedicated to bulk and container storage. It operates round the clock and is directly connected by road to major UAE ports, enabling faster cargo evacuation and doorstep delivery for customers.

Gulftainer said the Sajaa facility will function as a critical logistics gateway, offering seamless last-mile connectivity, cold storage solutions and access to nearby manufacturing clusters. The dry port is also planned to be compatible with future rail connectivity, further strengthening links to major trade corridors.

The launch underscores Gulftainer’s strategy to bring cargo closer to customers, improve supply chain flexibility and support the UAE’s ambition to develop a more integrated and efficient logistics ecosystem.
