South Korean shipbuilder Hanwha Ocean has delivered the second very large crude carrier (VLCC) to tanker operator DHT Holdings as part of a four-vessel order aimed at expanding the company’s crude oil transport fleet.

The newly delivered VLCC is designed to transport large volumes of crude oil across long-haul international routes and incorporates advanced fuel-efficient technologies to improve operational performance and reduce emissions. The vessel forms part of DHT Holdings’ strategy to modernize its fleet and strengthen its position in the global tanker market.

Industry observers note that the delivery reflects continued demand for modern crude carriers as energy trade flows remain strong across key markets. Hanwha Ocean is expected to deliver the remaining vessels in the series in line with the construction schedule agreed with DHT Holdings.
