Hapag-Lloyd has announced the launch of two standalone container shipping services, AMX (Asia–Mexico) and ASX (Asia–South America East Coast), to strengthen its connectivity between Asia and Latin America and provide customers with additional routing options.

The ASX service will connect key Asian ports with major destinations on the East Coast of South America, including Brazil. The service will also offer feeder connections via Rio Grande to Montevideo in Uruguay and Buenos Aires in Argentina, enhancing regional connectivity.

The AMX service will provide weekly sailings connecting key ports in China and South Korea with Mexico, along with onward connections to additional destinations along the West Coast of Latin America.

Both services will include direct port calls at Qingdao, China, expanding connectivity and offering customers more shipping options between Asia and Latin American markets.

Through these network enhancements, Hapag-Lloyd aims to strengthen its regional service coverage, improve cargo routing flexibility and support growing trade flows between Asia and Latin America.
