    Hapag-Lloyd introduces peak season surcharges from Asia to Africa

    German ocean carrier Hapag-Lloyd has announced the implementation of Peak Season Surcharges (PSS) from Asia to various destinations across Africa.

    The following surcharges will apply to all container types and will be effective from 16 May until further notice.

    From Asia to North West Africa (Dakar – Senegal, Nouakchott – Mauritania, Banjul – Gambia, Conakry – Guinea, Freetown – Sierra Leone, Monrovia – Liberia)

    • US$600 per TEU

    From Asia to Mombasa – Kenya

    • US$250 per TEU

    From Asia to Da Es Salam – Tanzania

    • US$450 per TEU

    From Asia to West Africa (Apapa & Tincan – Nigeria, Tema – Ghana, Cotonou – Benin, Abidjan & San Pedro – Ivory Coast)

    • US$500 per TEU

    From Asia to South West Africa (Luanda & Lobito & Namibe & Cabina & Soyo – Angola, Pointe Noire & Brazzaville – Congo, Matadi & Boma – Ghana, Libreville & Port Gentil – Gabon, Kribi & Douala – Cameroon, Bata & Malabo – Eq.Guinea, Walvis Bay – Namibia)
