Hindustan Zinc Ltd (HZL) has initiated one of India’s largest green logistics transitions in partnership with GreenLine Mobility Solutions. The move aims for 100% decarbonization of HZL’s supply chain using electric (EV) and LNG trucks.

GreenLine will invest ₹400 crore to deploy 100 EV trucks for inter-unit transport and expand HZL’s LNG fleet by 100 trucks, bringing the total to 200. It will also set up India’s first commercial-scale battery swapping infrastructure with three high-capacity stations.

The shift is expected to cut CO₂ emissions by 236 metric tonnes monthly—equivalent to planting 12,000 trees—while reducing freight costs.

HZL CEO Arun Misra called the initiative a bold step towards net-zero, while GreenLine CEO Anand Mimani said the partnership sets a scalable model for industrial decarbonization.
