Established to address the increasing demand for freight transport and to decongest the existing rail network, DFCCIL aims to enhance the efficiency, speed, and capacity of freight movement across the country. The corporation’s flagship projects, the Western and Eastern Dedicated Freight Corridors, span from Jawaharlal Nehru Port in Mumbai to Dankuni in West Bengal, facilitating smoother and faster transport of goods. DFCCIL plays a crucial role in boosting India’s economic growth by improving the logistics and supply chain sectors.
