South Korean shipping company HMM organised a tree plantation drive in collaboration with Green Yatra, a leading environmental NGO, as a part of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) activity.

HMM’s CSR action took place on 14 October at the State Reserve Police Force (SRPF) Campus in Goregaon, Mumbai, India.

In this plantation drive, HMM planted 1,000 plants, more than 40 types of species and used the Miyawaki Method invented by Japanese botanist and expert in plant ecology Dr. Akira Miyawaki.

“This method is 100% natural, native & organic as well as allows plants to grow in less time and space,” said HMM in a statement. “This method helps to achieve Carbon Neutrality and reduce carbon emissions, while it also helps in climate change mitigation.”
