    The Housing and Urban Development Corporation Limited (HUDCO)on Friday said that it has signed an memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Surat Integrated Transportation Development Corporation Limited (SITCO) for the construction and development of Surat Multi-Modal Transportation Hub.

    According to an official statement, this MoU aims at reinforcing the cooperation and collaboration between the two organisations to leverage respective strengths for the construction and development of Surat Multi-Modal Transportation Hub on land allocated by the Ministry of Railways and the Government of Gujarat. Additionally, the potential for consultancy, capacity building and other technical assistance from HUDCO will also be explored.

    The MoU has been executed on May 9 in New Delhi at HUDCO Bhawan by HUDCO CMD Sanjay Kulshrestha and SITCO MD Manoj Garg in the presence of senior officials from Rail Land Development Authority (RLDA) and HUDCO.
