Ignazio Messina & C. S.p.A. and Ignazio Messina India Pvt. Ltd. have expanded their refrigerated container fleet with 200 new 40-foot high-specification reefer containers, strengthening cold-chain capabilities in India and across the company’s global network.
The new reefers feature Daikin ZESTIA refrigeration units, Active Controlled Atmosphere (ACA) technology, global tracking and remote monitoring systems, enabling enhanced temperature control and cargo visibility.
The investment is aimed at meeting growing demand for the reliable transportation of fresh produce, pharmaceuticals and other temperature-sensitive cargo, while maintaining temperature integrity throughout the supply chain.
The fleet expansion further strengthens Messina Line’s capabilities connecting India with the Mediterranean, Red Sea, Middle East and Africa, supporting its growing presence in the Indian market.
