In a significant step towards strengthening India–Republic of Korea trade relations, Dr Ajay Sahai, Director General and CEO of the Federation of Indian Export Organisations (FIEO), along with Mr Suvidh Shah, Additional Director General, FIEO, met His Excellency Mr Lee Seong-Ho, Ambassador of the Republic of Korea, in New Delhi on Thursday.

The meeting brought together senior officials from the Embassy of the Republic of Korea and FIEO to deliberate on strategies aimed at further deepening bilateral economic engagement between the two countries. Discussions focused on expanding Indian exports to the Korean market, enhancing structured information exchange between trade bodies, and promoting sector-specific business delegations to facilitate direct industry-to-industry linkages.

Both sides also emphasised the importance of strengthening institutional collaboration to support Indian exporters in identifying and accessing emerging opportunities in the Korean market, particularly in high-value goods and services. The dialogue reflected a shared commitment to leveraging the complementary strengths of the two economies and building resilient, future-ready trade partnerships.

The interaction reaffirmed the growing momentum in India–Korea economic ties and underscored the intent of both nations to work closely towards unlocking sustained trade and investment opportunities for businesses on both sides.
