A total of 27,780 bags of saline have been exported to Dhaka to resolve the existing saline crisis in hospitals.

The saline-laden truck arrived through Benapole border around 5:00pm on Wednesday (September 20).

Earlier, 25,470 bags of saline were exported on Monday.

It was known that Bangladesh will import seven lakh saline bags initially. The saline import would be increased if needed.

Benapole port acting director Abdul Jalil said the imported saline is being released rapidly from the port.
