The V.O. Chidambaranar Port Authority is proud to host the India Maritime Week 2025 – Global Connect, a landmark event focused on driving sustainability across the maritime sector. The conference will be held at Sathya Park & Resorts, Tuticorin, with a dedicated theme: “Green Ports & Shipping – Chartering Sustainable Maritime Future.”
The event, starting at 10:00 AM, will showcase insightful sessions addressing decarbonization, green financing, policy frameworks, and innovative solutions that are shaping India’s maritime future.
Inaugural Session Highlights:

Speakers include Shri Amlan Bora (Port of Rotterdam), Shri Sanjay Verma (IWAI), Shri Rinkesh Roy (JSW Infrastructure), and Shri K.M. Rao (DG Shipping).
Session 2: Green Financing and Policy Frameworks (2:15 PM – 3:00 PM)
This session will focus on advancing green fuel adoption, innovative financing mechanisms, public-private partnerships, policy frameworks to support sustainable maritime transitions, and the availability of carbon credits. Experts like Shri Subramanya Kanakatte (RINA), Dr. Vishal Chaudhary (Office of Principal Scientific Adviser), and Shri Jeyanth Thomas (Ship Agents Association) will lead these discussions.
Panel Discussion: Transforming India’s Maritime Sector for the Next Decade (3:30 PM – 4:30 PM)
A distinguished panel moderated by Shri Subrat Tripathy (CEO, Adani Ports & SEZ), featuring key industry and government leaders such as Shri Sushil Kumar Singh (Chairperson, DPA), Dr. Malini Shankar (Vice Chancellor, IMU), and Shri Manoj Kumar Semwal (MD, IPRCL), will explore transformative strategies to accelerate green growth and innovation in India’s maritime sector.
