    Integrated supply chain infrastructure services platform IndoSpace has announced plans to invest over $57 million (₹500 crore) in a new logistics park in Bhiwandi, near Mumbai. Spread across 66 acres with a built-up area of 1.7 million sq ft, the project aims to expand capacity in one of India’s largest warehousing hubs.

    The investment is part of IndoSpace’s ongoing commitment to Maharashtra, where it has already deployed nearly $330 million (₹3,000 crore) in logistics and industrial infrastructure. The park will feature a mix of ready-to-move-in facilities and build-to-suit (BTS) options to cater to diverse sectoral requirements.

    “As the country experiences shifts in consumption, manufacturing, and global trade linkages, the availability of reliable logistics infrastructure becomes critical. Our approach is centred on building facilities that combine operational efficiency with long-term sustainability, aligning with the broader imperatives of India’s economic growth,” said Anshuman Singh, MD & CEO, IndoSpace.

    The new facility is expected to strengthen the Mumbai Metropolitan Region’s role as a key consumption and manufacturing corridor, while also supporting employment generation in surrounding areas.

    Bhiwandi continues to be a strategic warehousing hub in western India due to its connectivity with Mumbai, Thane, and Pune, as well as access to the Mumbai-Nagpur Samruddhi Expressway. IndoSpace’s project is positioned to serve occupiers from e-commerce, third-party logistics, FMCG, automotive, and electronics sectors. The park will be developed in line with ESG standards, featuring green spaces and efficient, compliant infrastructure.

    The investment comes amid rising demand for logistics space. In H1 2025, India recorded leasing volumes of 32.1 million sq ft, a 42% year-on-year increase, with Mumbai contributing 7.5 million sq ft, marking a 63% growth. Bhiwandi remains a key node in Maharashtra’s supply chain network, reflecting the scale of the state’s warehousing ecosystem.

    So far, IndoSpace has developed over 60 million sq ft of logistics and industrial infrastructure across 50+ locations, supporting more than 150 companies across sectors such as manufacturing, electronics, retail, automotive, e-commerce, and 3PL, while aligning with initiatives like PM Gati Shakti, the National Logistics Policy, and Make in India.
