J M Baxi heavy has set a new benchmark in Indian engineering with the successful delivery of three record-breaking modules for Larsen & Toubro’s (L&T) Marjan Offshore Field project .

    Overcoming Challenges, Delivering Excellence

Despite the disruptions caused by the COVID-19 lockdown in March 2020, J M BAXI HEAVY’s dedicated team persevered, ensuring the flawless fabrication of these colossal structures – named TP-11, TP-12, and TP-13. These modules stand as a testament to India’s prowess in the engineering domain.

    Strategic Planning and Flawless Execution

The project officially commenced in November 2023, following the navigation of pandemic-related hurdles. J M BAXI HEAVY’s meticulous planning resulted in successful loadouts every 60 days, showcasing their exceptional project management capabilities. Innovative loadout strategies and the implementation of a meticulous float-over operation guaranteed the safe and efficient transportation of these behemoths.

Breaking Records and Setting New Standards

J M BAXI HEAVY’s accomplishment culminated on May 30, 2024, with the final loadout of TP-12. These monumental modules, along with their load spreaders and axles, were meticulously transported and loaded using cutting-edge equipment, including 260 SPMT axle lines with 12 Power Pack Units (PPUs) and 85 ballast pumps. Remarkably, each loadout – from axle insertion to final placement onto the HDB-402, a 400-ton float-over barge – was accomplished within a staggering 36 hours.

With a combined weight of a staggering 18,000 metric tons and encompassing 530,000 freight units, these modules represent a significant leap forward in engineering and logistical prowess.

    Gratitude and Commitment

J M BAXI HEAVY expresses its deepest gratitude to L&T Hydrocarbon for entrusting them with this momentous project. The company reiterates its unwavering commitment to upholding project timelines and prioritizing safety in every endeavour.
