BrahMos Aerospace Pvt. Ltd. has awarded Jindal Stainless accreditation to produce and deliver steel sheets and plates from its Hisar facility in Haryana. According to a press release, BrahMos Aerospace’s technical specifications said, Jindal Stainless, will produce and supply specialty low-alloy steel sheets and plates as well as bespoke stainless steel sheets.

In line with this vision, we are enhancing our capabilities to meet and exceed the stringent conditions for such critical applications. Contributing to the strengthening of our country’s defence standing is a matter of passion and pride for us,” said Managing Director of Jindal Stainless, Mr Abhyuday Jindal.
The release further said that, in the past, Jindal Stainless has provided materials for significant projects run by the DRDO and ISRO, including as the nuclear submarine missile system, the PSLV, GSLV Mk3, India’s Chandrayaan lunar mission, missile canisters for different missile programs, and rocket exhaust units. The corporation is committed to fulfilling future missile programs’ material requirements.
“Among the select few globally certified companies with AS 9100D certification, a quality management system for aviation, space, and defence organisations, Jindal Stainless has recently developed and supplied 3 mm special alloy steel sheets for the Supersonic Missile-Assisted Release of Torpedo (SMART) system, enhancing the Indian Navy’s anti-submarine warfare capabilities. Manufactured by Jindal Stainless, Hisar in a record turnaround time, these specialised sheets can provide high thermal stability and high-pressure resistance during flight,” release added.
